Application JS files

Postby sbritton » Tue Mar 27, 2012 5:57 pm

I've been doing a lot of research on the Tine Wiki and Forum for some information on how the JS files for an application are handled in terms of the framework producing the -FAT.js files. I know that part of the application is run on Ext JS and I've also included Spket JS IDE within my environment, so my questions are:

1. Is there a way to reference the JS files without having to compress them during development?

2. Is there a CL for compressing the JS files to the FAT.JS files?

Please let me know if I should be looking into the features with Spket JS IDE to find these answers as I have no problems with learning new tools, I just want to make sure I'm looking in the right place.

Thanks in advance for your help.

i hope i do understand the questions correctly ... ;)

1. switch to DEVELOPMENT mode (in config.inc.php):
Code: Select all
'buildtype' => 'DEVELOPMENT',

-> all js files are included uncompressed

2. CL? what does that mean? we use phing to build our packages (see build.xml in tine root dir).
