About domain of Tine 2.0 Relations

Postby hhartl » Wed Aug 11, 2010 6:31 pm

Hello,

i've got some questions about Tine Relations.
Are the relations conceptually intended to be used as self-referring m:n relations as well?
I think about relating contacts together e.g. in order to build tree-like structures of dependent contacts.
Each relation might get one ore more impacts (like [contact type:organisation]-has[impact:employment]->[contact type:employee]).
In this simple example you would get all the organisation's employees within the relations tab.
Could you imagine this being handled by the relations concept? What about circles?
Or should this better be done in a specialized App?

Thanks in advance and best regards,

Hi Hans,

This could be done with relations. For the org/empl. stuff, maybe a bit more than just relations would be appropriate.

However, it would be possible.
