Session bug?

Postby Gurney » Mon Aug 27, 2012 3:28 pm

Hi,

It seems sessions are not deleted anymore, since probably last Thursday or Friday.

My /tmp partition (1GB) is quickly filling up with undeleted sessions (sess_* files), and I can tell you there's a huge number ;)

using file sessions backend.

Should I log a bug?

Cheers,
Etienne

session deleting is usually (on linux) done by a cronjob and managed by your OS / php packages. you should find something about that in the interwebs...

Yes, and my Ubuntu is properly configured (auto clean up every 30 minutes).

Something is spawning new Tine sessions, at a rate of several (1-3) per seconds but I have no clue what is causing it.

It ends up filling up my partition at a rate of 30MB per hour.

Is a session created when an Activesync session is started? (I've several Activesync devices)

I think it happens only since Friday last week, did you make any modification on that side?

we fixed the session handling in activesync in the git master.

do you still experience problems with lots of sessions?

Nope it's okay now.

Though activesync for emails doesn't work anymore since a 2-3 weeks ;)
