Notification mail's to external participants

Postby csvarer » Tue Aug 28, 2012 11:03 am

Notification mail's are automatically send to external participants (people only defined in an adressbook - no tine20 account) when other participants accept/decline a meeting. How do we disable sending of these email's to "external users" as "internal users" can do them-self by changing the setting "Preferences->Calendar->Get Notification emails = On all updates but attendee responses"

There is no switch/config. But you can catch this mails in your smtp config.

That is of course correct, but it would be nice if it was possible to configure that external participants got messages about cancellations and change of time for a meeting, but they don't need messages about acceptance from other participants. I can't see how to configure that kind of behavior in the general smtp config files, or is there something I have misunderstood is there a smtp config in tine20?

This can't be configured.

please note, that sending updates on participant status change is part of the iMIP (iCal over Mail) protocol.

I think there is a feature request already in the tracker about letting the organizer choose if updates should be send or not via UI.

You have to understand this that the changing side of this updates on this particular view is over mail protocol.
