file manager questions

Postby primer » Sat Mar 10, 2012 2:28 am

1. after deleting a file uploaded before, it is not visible in Tine web interface, but the very file is still on the hard disk of the hosting server. How to delete it permanently through Tine without using ftp? as it occupies space, and may also contain critical business information.

2. When uploading file bigger than 2MB, I got error of over limit, but my hosting server did not apply a 2MB file size limit. The hosting company says no limit on file size. Is there some place in Tine to config the limit?

3. Is there somewhere in Tine to config file manager quota as per user?

Thanks.

I have same problem.

In setup can you change (Tine accept) to custom folder instead of /tmp/ the default Filestore?

there is a premade cleanup job for this. if you configured a cronjob (see http://www.tine20.org/wiki/index.php/Ad ... cronjob.3F) for tine, it should run once a day.

which browser are you using? perhaps you should try one, that is capable of HTML 5 uploads, as tine 2.0 supports chunked uploads.

no, there is no quota yet.

I'm using latest versions of both Firefox and Chrome. Is HTML5 automatically supported, or do I have to turn on some switches?

Hi Phil,
About the file deleting cron job, how do I know which files to delete?
The files saved in tine2.0 and the files actually saved on the server harddisk have different file names and folder names.

the async job knows which files are obsolete, so you just setup the cronjob ...

see the wiki for webdax, then you may use totalcommander + plugin or cyberduck for downloading files :S
