Android Tasks

Postby knopfsocke » Sat Oct 06, 2012 10:35 pm

Hi,

I love Tine and Calendar + Contacs sync with my Android Smartphone works fine over active sync.

One big thing I miss, is the possibility to sync the tasks with my phone, because google's android os doesnt support it by default.

I want to write my own android app to manage this missing feature. My problem is, I dont know how to get/modify tine tasks from "outside/extern".

Is it possible to to it with http://www.tine20.org/wiki/index.php/Developers/Concepts/Howto_connect_to_Tine_2.0_over_JSON-RPC or is there another way?

hi knopfsocke,

yup, the JSON-RPC approach would be the way to go if you do not want to implement the ActiveSync for tasks.

another way could be to implement a sencha touch application that connects to the tine server. but we are at the moment evaluating this and have no code for this yet.
