ActiveSync Sessions not closing

Hi there!

You guys are going a super job with Tine! Thank you!

Using latest git master snapshot from 10/09 and previously beta1 and beta2 joey and have activesync session problems.

Multiple sessions for the same device are created with both the same and different originating port numbers and they don't close.

So within 4-6 hours, i have about 50 sessions open from the same device and it bombs apache. Have to try and close the sessions, sometimes they don't close, but if i close them the site works again (or i have to restart apache).

I noticed there were some session problems from last month, could be related?

Getting the same problem with Milan.

I suppose it could be Android....

please open a bugreport and post your logfiles. perhaps there is an error and the request is not finished/closed correctly.

This ticket (7246) was assigned in bug tracker and planned for Joey 2012.10.2, but i don't see it in the roadmap.

Were you able to find what the problem was? Can I provide additional information to help troubleshoot? I still have the environment up.

lars has found a bug in the session management. i hope, it fixes your problems, too ...

please update to the current service release (which came out today) and tell us if your problems persist or have gone away.

Hi guys,

thanks again for your great work.

I installed Joey 2012.10.2 service release from 11/23 and unfortunately it didn't fix the problem.

I am still seeing sessions building up until Apache no longer accepts new ones...

I use a program called Tcpview from sysinternals.com to see all of the sessions.

They build up very fast and some even have duplicate remote ports, which is strange.

Let me know if it would help, i can let it fill up and then send you a screen shot.

I'm surprised noone else is seeing this problem. What would it be that's different in my environment that is causing this.

There are no database changes i need to make right? just wipe and install the web files?

oh, that is not good. but we can't reproduce this any more.

you need to run the update scripts in setup.php. (see http://www.tine20.org/wiki/index.php/Update_Howto)

edit: please reopen the bugreport if the problem persists and add a current logfile to it.

yeah, i had done the update scripts, all components were up to date.

i will open a new ticket with a new log file.
