More project management capabilities

Provide ideas: What is missing to make Tine the greatest groupware of all times? Do you need any applications we haven't even thought of? What tasks do you want Tine to support you with?

More project management capabilities

Postby xilix » Wed Feb 06, 2013 3:28 pm

The linking possibilities between the projects, tasks and addressbook app in Tine 2.0 are very nice! With this information one can almost construct/export a Gantt chart that visualizes the current state of a project and/or the critical path...

The only missing information is a start date for tasks. Also a finish-to-start dependency would be nice. I think the visualization or export procedure would be solvable as well.

The groupware PHProjekt is good for inspiration purposes ;)

hi xilix,

that is a good idea. adding a start date would be no big effort. would you add a feature request for this?

do you have an idea how to generate the gantt chart (by using open source tools)?

what exactly do you mean by this?

Yes. One example ist MAHATMA GANTTI. There might be others.

In German you would maybe call it "Übergabepunkte". So this means a dependency, which describes that task A must be finished before task B can be started.

ok, thanks for the additions. could you please add feature requests for the other two features (gantt + finish-to-start dependency)?
