Metaways has released the new major release under the codename "Kristina". The open source groupware is provided as a software as a service by Metaways also. Packages for public download and an online demo have been deployed on the project page. Visit our changelog for detailed information.

Focal points of this version are:

• Calendar Usability
• Calendar Event History
• HumanResources Freetime Management
• Active Sync Performance Improvements

The calendar is much more user friendly now. Events can be copied in an easier way than before. The exceptions and attendee are easier to choose. The history is more transparent now. It now also shows when attendee has declined or accepted the event

The integrated module HumanResources now allows to define vacation and sickness days.

The "ActiveSync" implementation needs less memory and CPU now, the cellphones do not need to work so hard.

Under the name of "Tine 2.0net" Metaways provides Tine 2.0 as software as a service. As part of a Full-Service-Hosting-Package companies are equipped with a optimized system. The SaaS- solution runs on the certificated Metaways datacenters in Hamburg, which infrastructure is designed for high availibility and complies to the highest security-standards.
