quoting Lars Kneschke, the initiator of the Project.
With the new Time-Tracking-Module, Tine 2.0 now comes with a simple but powerful tool for company wide time sheet acquisition and analysis. The tool is designed with special care on easy creation of new time sheets one the one hand, but extensive features for accounting and controlling on the other hand. To synchronise address data, a ActiveSync-Service has been added. With this, all current business mobile phones can obtain their address book from the Tine 2.0 server. As an outstanding feature, this ActiveSync service has the capability for PUSH actions.
Besides the new modules, the new version has a lot productivity enhancements for Users having to deal with large amount of data. The filter ability where greatly improved and features to save filter setting are implemented. With this the creation of dynamic lists is now possible. More over a new feature called mass update has been added to allow the simultaneous update of certain properties for a whole list of data at once.
With this release of Lara (2009/02) the project direcly starts to work on the next major version Leonie (2009/06).
