This tutorial was tested with a Nokia N97 (software version 21.0.045) and RoadSync 5.021 (207).

RoadSync is not free of charge! You can download a free trial version and if it's expired, you have to buy it if you want to continue to use it.

Tine requirements

• The applications ActiveSync, Email, Addressbook, Calendar, Tasks have to be installed.
• The user has to be member of a role that allows running the above applications.

Both is required, because the connection test tries to access all of them. The syncronisation later itself works fine, if just the applications are installed and executeable that should be synced.

Install and configure RoadSync

• Download RoadSync for your device and open the sis file with double-click on your PC (for installation through Nokia Ovi Suite).

• Allow installation on the device and follow the steps:
  • Accept the license agreement.
  • Fill the registration form.
  • Choose trial or licensed (depending if you want to test or had allready purchased).
  • Choose connection type for registration and let the application register.
  • Skip the short 'connection with Exchange' (eMail and password) form (options menu).
  • Fill the long form 'connection with Exchange': Username, Password, Servername, Domain (empty), SSL (https=yes, http=no).
  • Click 'test' for establishing a test connection. If something failed, check your settings/Tine installation.
  • If the test connection was successfull, you can continue.
  • Configure the syncronisation options (what should be syncronized).

Troubleshooting

Syncronisation problems

If you encounter any problems during the syncronisation, go to the RoadSync options ('advanced options') and choose 'reset all data'. This seems to fix most of the syncronisation problems, because all contacts, calendar entries, tasks and Emails are removed and fresh syncronized (You maybe loose data!). The next sync should be successfull.
